Do I need Hertz Liability Protection?
If you already have a personal liability insurance policy then you will not need Hertz Liability Protection. However, if you do not have a personal insurance policy then it is recommended that you take out Liability Protection. This is to insure you in case you have an accident during your car hire.
Are there late return fees?
We offer a free grace period of up to 59 minutes when returning your car rental to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Vehicles returned 60-199 minutes late will incur a fee of half the daily rental fee for your vehicle. Vehicles returned 120 minutes to a day late are subject to a full daily rental charge. A full daily rental charge is also added for every subsequent day (or part thereof) that the vehicle is not returned.
