Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (2024)

Fast X is the tenth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise – as long as you don’t include Hobbs and Shaw – and fans have been blown away by the trailer released only days ago. And while the movies don’t focus so much on the cars anymore, we thought we’d do a full trailer breakdown and identify literally every car included in it from police cars to the cars owned by our main characters like Dom Torretto and Letty.

The new movie seems to be set in a number of locations spanning from Los Angeles in the US to Barcelona in Italy. Because of this, we get a good span of cars ranging from iconic muscle cars to Italian cop cars from Alfa Romeo. Our new bad guy, Dante, played by Jason Momoa, seems to have a keen interest in motorbikes too, so there’s plenty going on here to unpack.

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (1)

Let’s take a look at this trailer then before Fast X is released in cinemas on 19 May 2023. It will be the first of two parts that will bring this story to a close.

Fast X Trailer Breakdown – Every Car Revealed

Here’s our full breakdown of the trailer. We’ve tried to identify every single car that’s actually involved in the plot, but as you’d expect, there are a few that are very difficult or impossible to identify. We’ve done our best to get it right.

Dodge Charger SRT Daytona EV

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (2)

The trailer opens on the Toretto household. There are two cars parked outside it, with the most recognisable being a black Dodge Charger. Not the Charger we usually see Dom driving. Instead, this is the new all-electric Charger SRT Daytona EV that was released late last year.

Unlike all of Dom’s cars so far in this franchise, it doesn’t have an engine. Instead, it boasts two electric motors that will likely produce more power than the current Hellcat models which sit at a whopping 807 horsepower. This power will be transmitted to all four wheels via a multi-speed electromechanical gearbox called ‘eRupt’. This will reportedly allow the car to be driven like a manual, internal combustion engined car.

It won’t make a noise like a traditional Charger. Instead, it will have a sound pumped through what Dodge is calling a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust. This will be a sound made entirely by a computer within the car and while it’s supposed to sound aggressive, I’m not sure it’ll sound so good.

Pagani Huayra Tricolore

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (3)

Also parked in front of the house is a gorgeous Pagani Huayra Tricolore. Only three of these were ever built by the Italian company and were sold at a price of €5.5million. Look at the rear wing and you’ll see a 10. The other two cars are numbered 0 and 1, after key members of the Frecce Tricolori.

The Frecce Tricolori is the Italian Air Force’s aerobatics team, and these numbers refer to aircraft one which “leads the patrol during all aerobatic maneuvers”, ten which “splits off from the group in the most spectacular sequences” to “show the high performance of the aircraft in flight”, and zero, the Commander who “directs the display from the ground” and takes care of “all the stages of mission planning and training”.

The Tricolore is 829 very expensive, but very beautiful horsepower.

Dodge Charger R/T

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (4)

After a few smiley, emotional scenes around a bbq, we get to see Dom whom we assume is an elder of his family. They’re standing in front of the classic Charger that Dom is most well known for. He usually supercharges these, but this looks a tad more mellow with the hood still completely intact and void of an intake.

Stock, these muscle cars produce around 390 horsepower. But it’s reported that, when fully modified by Vin Diesel’s character, his Chargers produce around 900 horses.

Stock, these cars currently cost around $40,000 to $90,000 depending on what condition they’re in.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (5)

Dom drove a Chevrolet Chevelle SS in Fast and Furious. You know, the one no one really remembers because it was a little bit crap. Well, another one joins us in Dom’s garage with very lovely silver paint job with its iconic black stripes.

The 350 V8s in these cars sound just as good as they look, producing around 375 horsepower stock. Of course, Dom isn’t one to leave his cars unattended to, so it’s highly likely there’s more going on beneath the hood than is let on. In fact, we see very little of this car, but it gives us the fizz all the same.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI GH

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (6)

Dom looks up at a framed photo of him and Brian (played by the late Paul Walker). They’re stood next to two cars from Fast and Furious again: A 1970 Dodge Charger and a Subaru Impreza WRX STI GH hatchback.

These weren’t loved by Impreza fans, but despite this, they made iconic rally cars for drivers such as Ken Block. Because of this, it looked at home on the dust of the fourth film with Brian behind the wheel.

Powered by a turbocharged 2.5-litre Boxer engine, the car produces around 300 horsepower that’s transmitted to all four wheels. Unfortunately, it wasn’t fans’ favourite and it went down quite badly.

Harley-Davidson Pan America

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (7)

There are a few more clips of Dom with his son in a Dodge Charger before we see the movie’s bad guy on a modified Harley-Davidson Pan America. His name’s Dante, and he’s played by Jason Momoa who has taken to the role like a 10mm socket to the bottom of an engine bay.

You can read about the modified Harley by clicking here. But for now, I’ll give you a quick rundown.

It has a host of m=bodywork changes including a vented piece of what I assume is armour at the centre of the handlebars. It’s been straight piped, and the rear has undergone a very tasty tail tidy.

Stock, they produce 50 HP and 94 ft. lbs of torque and its lightweight V-twin can rev to 9,500rpm.

Lenco BearCat Armoured Vehicle

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (8)

This one was really difficult to nail as we only get a split second of it on the screen before it’s blown up by Dante. This Lenco BearCat armoured vehicle is designed for SWAT and military use, and is trusted by the United States military itself.

It’s actually based on the Ford F-550 Super Duty and comes with either a V10 Triton engine, or a 6.7-litre V8 diesel engine. Both, as you’d imagine, have plenty of power to pull this thing out of any trouble it may find itself in. We’re talking around 500 horses.

Its armour stands 1.5 inches thick and its glass is bulletproof so is impervious to gunfire, but as you see from the trailer, a good explosive can eat right through the metal if placed in the right spot.

Dodge Charger SRT-8

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (9)

Next, we’re greeted with a flashback to the safe heist from Fast 5 with both Brian and Dom behind the wheels of 2010 Dodge Charger SRT-8s. Reinforced with roll cages both inside and out, these two muscle cars are powerful enough to pull the safe right out from the police headquarters and around the city of Rio.

They’re both equipped with nitrous so will be producing more power than the stock 425 horsepower from their Hemi V8s.

Volkswagen Touareg

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (10)

With the Chargers flying around Rio, we see Dom slingshot the heavy safe in a VW Touareg that has Dante inside it. These look to be great bad-guy cars with a machine gunner hanging out of the sunroof, but it’s difficult to tell what variation of the model it is. I’d like to think it’s the W12 model which produces 450 horsepower and 443 ft lbs of torque.

Dodge Charger Hellcat SRT Widebody

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (11)

We’re now back in the present day and there’s a huge explosion caused by Dante. Dom is outrunning the shockwaves in a highly modified Dodge Charger Hellcat followed closely by a number of Alfa Rome 159 police cars.

These hellcats, likely a Redeye Widebody in this case, produce a mighty 807 horsepower from their supercharged 6.2-litre V8 and will hit 60mph in just 3.5 seconds.

Chevrolet El Camino

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (12)

Next up we get to see the interior of a Chevrolet El Camino driving next to Dom’s Charger. Although this isn’t just any El Camino. Firstly, it’s being driven by Dom’s brother Jakob, played by John Cena. Secondly, it has two huge rocket launchers strapped to either side of the car. Further protecting it is an exterior roll cage.

As usual, this is likely highly modified for more power, but stock these cars were available with a number of V8s, the most powerful of which only produced 270 horsepower. If I was Jakob, I’d be looking to LS3 swap this for easy, reliable power.

And power is something he definitely needs as a future clip shows us him outrunning a number of cars, including BMW 5-Series, Range Rovers, and a number of other very blurry cars.

Alfa Romeo 2000 GT

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (13)

Driven by our favourite driver Han, played by Sung Kang, this 2000 GT looks amazing running on the streets alongside supercars.

It was produced from 1971 to 1976. The car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and was a successor to the popular Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT. Powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine with dual overhead camshafts, it produces only 132 horsepower, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. But because it’s so light, it can hit 60mph in a respectable 9 seconds. Although I highly doubt it’s stock under the hood.

I love the fact they’re adding more classic cars to these movies now.

This Alfa is outrunning what looks like a Jeep Gladiator.

CCM Scrambler Motorbike

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (14)

This is very difficult to identify, but I believe Letty is riding a CCM motorcycle, likely a Scrambler if you go by the length of the seat.

It’s highly modified with what looks like an aftermarket exhaust system and a few body changes.

This British brand powered by the Scrambler with a 600cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that produces around 55 horsepower. It has a six-speed transmission and a chain drive, and it is capable of reaching a top speed of around 100 mph. It’s not overly fast, but is light and capable of the stunts necessary to keep up with the bad guys.

Chevrolet Impala

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (15)

The trailer features a street race with a number of cars, but the standout is Dante’s massive Chevrolet Impala. The hood is huge, and it has a boost gauge on the dashboard.

As you’d expect, the car came from the factory with a huge, but not overly powerful V8 under the hood. So in the movie, it’s likely been replaced with something more modern and powerful.

Porsche 911 997

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (16)

More explosions, but this time it’s a bright yellow Porsche 911 997 that takes the hit during a street race against Dante and Dom.

These are exceptional cars produced by Porsche from 2004 to 2012. It is the sixth generation of the 911 series and was available in a range of models, including the Carrera, Carrera S, Targa, and Turbo. The 911 997 features a rear-mounted flat-six engine, rear-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.

The 911 997 is considered by many to be one of the most balanced and enjoyable 911 models to drive, so it’s a shame to see it being blown to smithereens.

Datsun 240Z

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (17)

Driving behind now the rather smokey Porsche is a yellow Datsun 240Z, driven by an unknown female character.

These are brilliant little cars that have quickly found their place in the aftermarket scene. Often, their little 2.4-litre L24 inline 6 engines are swapped out for something more powerful, such as an RB26 or even an LS3. The one in this movie has a turbocharger poking out of the hood, so I’d assume it’s something Japanese, likely an RB26 from a Nissan Skyline.

Inside it features a roll cage and racing seats as well as an aftermarket wheel. There’s also a widebody that looks strangely similar to that of Sung Kang’s FuguZ.

Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (18)

Tyrese Gibson gives us a quick look at what is either a Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator at the 1:40 mark.

The Wrangler is a small off-roader, capable of traversing ground much more intimidating than itself. The latest model is powered by either a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s a very capable car.

The Gladiator on the other hand is a pickup based on the Wrangler and is available with a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, while a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 that produces 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque is also available. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

It is a rugged off-roader just like its smaller brother.

The Street Race

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (19)

There are a number of cars at the meet where Dom eventually races Dante.

This includes:

  • Ford Mustang GT500
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6
  • Nissan Silvia S15
  • Nissan Skyline R33
  • Chrysler Fifth Avenue
  • Nissan 350Z

There are more, but almost impossible to identify.

Lamborghini Gallardo

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (20)

Wrapped in chrome gold, this Lamborghini Gallardo is one of the few supercars to feature in this movie.

Powered by a V10, this standout car is powered by a 5.0-litrr V10 engine that produced between 500 and 562 horsepower, depending on the model. It’s strapped to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automated manual transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

It’s luxurious, in your face, and very fast with a top speed of over 200mph.

Later in the trailer we see it getting chased by a Hummer H2, and if my eyes are correct, it’s being driven by Roman Pearce.

Ford Fairlane

Fast X: Every Single Car in Trailer Revealed and Explained (21)

The Fairlane was built by Ford from 1962 to 1971. In 1966, the Fairlane received a significant redesign that gave it a more streamlined and modern look as you can see in the movie. It was powered by a range of engines, including a 3.3-liter inline-six, a 4.7-liter V8, a 5.0-liter V8, and a 6.4-liter V8, which produced between 120 and 335 horsepower.

I can’t say who it’s being driven by, but this doesn’t look like a car that’s driven by a bad guy. It’s definitely not evil-looking enough.
