If you’ve visited Disney Parks, it’s likely you have enjoyed the Grey Stuff dessert! At Disneyland Park, you can enjoy the dessert at Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland and at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park, you can enjoy it at Be Our Guest Restaurant. How To Make Grey Stuff Recipe

  1. Place pudding mix and milk into a large mixing bowl, whisk until well combined and thickened. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until thick.
  2. Place Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until you get crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, you can place the cookies in a large ziplock bag and roll a rolling pin over them until you have crumbs.
  3. Transfer Oreo crumbs into the thickened pudding bowl, stirring to combine. Fold in thawed Cool Whip until combined. Serve in bowls with little candy pearls on top and more Oreo crumbs to garnish. You can also place pudding into a piping bag with a large star tip and swirl onto your serving plate. If piping the pudding, I like to freeze the piping bag for 30 minutes before serving, so the swirls are more firm.

The most simple way to make Oreo crumbs is with a food processor. Pulse the cookies until you get crumbs as shown in the photo above.

What If I Don’t Have A Food Processor?

If you don’t have a food processor, no worries. You can place the cookies in a large ziplock bag, seal it up, then take a rolling pin to roll over cookies until you get crumbs. Be careful to not press so hard that the bag tears. I’ve used this method. It takes a little longer than the food processor, but still works!

Slowly fold in the Cool Whip topping. Use a large spoon and fold the chocolate into the whipped cream. Don’t beat it, just gentle folds.

How To Serve Grey Stuff

You can either take a spoon and spoon the pudding into serving bowls or you can place the pudding into a piping bag with a large star tip attached like the photo shows above. Note, if you use the piping bag method, I found best results came after freezing the piping bag for a good 30 minutes before piping it onto my serving plates. If you’re nervous about making the perfect swirl, practice on a plate first. You can scoop up the pudding and put it right back into your piping bag.

  • 15 full Oreo Cookies
  • 8 ounce container Frozen Cool Whip thawed to room temperature

Instructions

  • Place pudding mix and milk into a large mixing bowl, whisk until well combined and thickened. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until thick.

  • Place Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until you get crumbs. If you don't have a food processor, you can place the cookies in a large ziplock bag and roll a rolling pin over them until you have crumbs.

Sprinkle with a pinch of Oreo crumbs as well.
